The apartment is nice, of course it's much smaller.. but in good shape, and with new carpet. I just called them to ask if there are any of the models I like available, but they're only $100 less than what we're paying now.. so screw that. They told me on the phone that they forgot to mention to Jon that we would have to pay a $500 pet deposit. I said we already paid it in the one we're in, and she said it's per apartment. Okay. Well, $250 is supposed to be refundable... so we should only have to pay that for a new deposit. I didn't think about that when I was talking to her, though.

Anyway. Apparently the roommate doesn't know he's moving out yet, Jon hasn't seen him to talk to him. He got home late last night, I heard him making dinner at like 1am.. and I swear I woke up at like, 4 and heard some chick out there talking to him. He, of course, left his dishes in the sink this morning.

Jon got called offshore last night, as a solo operator.. so that's awesome. One step closer to actually breaking out, which should be any day now.

I'm thinking about getting a sugar glider with my bonus in May.

Well, apparently we won't be able to move into the one-bedroom. We can sign another lease for the one we're in, but not a new apartment in the same complex. Ridiculous. I'm so disappointed. Not because we have to stay in this apartment, but because this increases the chances of the roommate staying here longer. Damn it.
